FREE Mental Health and Support Services

Funding is available to cover or supplement trauma support costs for current Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) students, ages 10-18, who have been directly affected by gun violence. This opportunity is also extended to immediate family members listed in their household.

This fund will also support the parents of deceased FCPS students due to gun violence who were registered students from January 2020 to present.

Have you been affected by gun violence? Have you or anyone in your family:

  • Had the inside of your home affected by gun violence?
  • Been injured by gun violence?
  • Witnessed gun violence or suicide by gun in a home or community?
  • Lost a family member to gun violence or suicide by gun?
  • Had a family member injured by gun violence?

Are you eligble?

  • Students, ages 10-18, who have been directly impacted by gun violence

  • Date of impact: March 1st, 2020 – Present

  • Funding is available August 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025

No student or family may receive more than $1,000 of the “Building Bridges To Opportunity” funding support in a fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).

Payments are made directly to mental health service providers.
